  The SS-EB1 is a solid-state switching device built for the protection of those small amplifier relays in solid-state radios. Many of the older amplifiers carry to much voltage, or current, during switching and can destroy the amplifier relay in soli state radios. With the SS-EB1 you eliminates the radio amp relay altogether. So there is no chance of expensive damage from to high of voltage or current, along with the damage caused from relay arcing that happens during relay chatter or high speed CW etc.. Note: The SS-EB1 is powered by 12-13.8 Volts DC On Transmit ONLY. Be sure to check your operators' manual before ordering. Your manual will say 13.8 on transmit in the pin-out for one of the accessory DIN plugs.
